Endeavor Elementary School Reviews

I agree with u totally. You put in words what I have been experiancing

I have mixed feelings abou this school because I've had children attend it since day one (when it opened) and it's changed - and not always for the better. My children have have generally liked their teachers and they have friends there. I'm afraid, though, after looking at the recent FCAT scores that we might see Endeavor drop to a 'B' school. There are some things going on, and yes, I've volunteered lots of my time throughout the years and voiced my opinions, which weren't always welcomed.

My boys have attended Endeavor for the last 2 years, and love it! They have had wonderful teachers who have been very open to my concerns and suggestions for their academic needs. Changes have been made, but all organizations go thru changes, a school is no different. If you are unhappy then you MUST get involved and stop complaining. This school welcomes volunteers and now more than ever needs your help to continue the positive changes, and fun activities that were offered this past year. Please relize how lucky the kids of Endeavor are to have teachers and staff that care. Let's get ready for a great 2008!

Changes? Yes, there were changes. Let's see...school spirit was all over the place. From the front lobby that was always decorated in a fun way to the new car magnets to the introduction of new school colors. For the first time, we had a Father-Daughter Dance, a Mother-Son Night of Magic, a Fall Festival where staff members and Administration participated in a Pie-Eating Contest, an Olympic-Themed Reading Celebration, a Science Club that attended the Science Olympiad, a Performing Arts program for the younger and ESE students, the Mileage Club, a beautiful 5th Grade Graduation Ceremony, and that's just what comes to mind right away! This is a vibrant school, and I look forward to seeing what this next year holds for its students (which include my very happy children!) Thank you to everyone who has made all of this and more possible for Endeavor!

I am so happy to see a postive comment about Endeavor. Thank you! It's extremely sad that the only people who decide to put comments on venues such as this one are those who need to complain and say negative things. I think that there are many parents that are happy with Endeavor but just don't take the time to voice their opinion. I am also pleased with the education that my children have received at the school. Yes - there have been many changes, from the Admistration team to the teachers but you can not dwell on how things 'used to be', instead welcome and support the changes and help the school to be the best that it can be. To those who have had negative experiences, then challenge yourselves to change your opinion. Be involved, it does make a difference.

Endeavor is a fantastic school! Yes, there have been a lot of changes, and they are for the better. Both of my children have had great teachers, and they feel proud of their school. Parents who are unhappy should get involved with making positive changes. Administration is open to feedback and ideas, especially when they are presented in a constructive manner. With the cuts that all of the schools are facing in the upcoming year, it will be up to the parents and community to come together and make the school a great place for our kids. Stop complaining and get involved!!!

Endeavor 's a wonderful school. I have a 3rd and 5th grader. The teachers are fair if you give them a chance. They push for the kids to do better. If your child is not lazy and wants to learn, then Endeavor is the school. There new Science program is very good. My kids are happy and that makes me happy.

Endeavor elementary has some good teachers. The administrators need to pull it together and become real leaders for the entire school community - students, teachers, and parents. This was a rough year for my son at Endeavor and I'm glad he's goingt to middle school next year.

I am also in agreement with the past two postings. My son was the first kindergarten class at Endeavor and despite the growing pains it was a far cry from the chaos and apathy now familiar to my daughter in kindergarten. I don't care for the current administration and couldn't agree more about their attitude towards parents. We will actually be moving this summer because of the school. Just to inform you all, the assistant principal called me just before spring break to tell me that my daughter had found something on the playground. What she found was a bullet. Of course she didn't know what it was but never the less they waited until school was out before the call. Would have been nice if I knew before she got in the car asking questions. I could rant on and on but should spare you all my soapbox...LOL.

What do I say about this school -Bullies running amok and barely getting punished (even with physical violence). Same kids getting to disrupt a class and go unpunished. Same kid gets the entire class punished for his misdeeds (ex: lose recess for the entire class). Some teachers that are disorganized and have zerio classroom management capability. School administrators are very defensive and rude if you meet with them about your concerns. That about covers it. If you liked being talked down to even though you've volunteered numerous number of hours for the school, had honor-roll type students with excellent behavior enerolled since the day the doors opened, then enroll your child here! They don't care. It's all about keeping teacher and administrators' jobs. If you are an upper middle class/college educated parent you will be appalled. I warned you.

My G-daughter went there from K-4, she loved it.As a parent I don't think there was a better school around. Loved it.

Endeavor is one of the best elementary schools. Mrs. Vitale was wonderful - and now Mrs. Kimble is coming into her own. I think she is doing a great job. She is very visible and very accessible. She always returns calls - and I love that about her. In the classroom I am always pleasantly surprised how every child is assessed individually and given the appropriate curriculum they need. I don't know how the teachers do it - in one classroom, you could have several different students working at different levels in the same subject. Classroom placement is decided by what is best for the individual child. Consideration is given to the child and their interests and personalities. It's always a great fit! The admin staff is always helpful and courteous. I love our school.

Endeavor was a wonderful school that encouraged teachers, students, and parents. The new administration is running off many excellent teachers and staff and making decisions based on what would be best for them. The students used to be the center of this school. Unfortunately, this is no longer true.

Endeavor is a good school with the potential of being a great school. I think that the new adminstrators are going to be a good team that will help acheive this goal. I have had 3 children go to this school so far and they love it. More parent involvement, better communication and more school actitivies are what this school needs to make it great.

Ms. Murry has been the absolute best teacher my daughter could have asked for. Endeavor has been a great school.

This school is merely average. At one time this was an excellent school. Perhaps it is the change in principals. As a parent volunteer at this school I've seen firsthand how resources (both material and human) are wasted. Taxpayers would be appalled!

Endeavor remains an excellent school. The teachers are caring and very competent, and the staff has high behavioral expectations for the students.

If you have high achieving or gifted children and want them to excel... Do not put them in this school! The school is beginning to flounder and the students and their academics will suffer.

Well rounded school that supports early development and focuses on extra curricular activities. music, arts etc.

Endeavor Ele. is a school that provides a great environment for learners. Students are respected and treated fairly. also, a wide variety of special areas are offered.

The teachers here are excellent. They focus on the children and thei well being. I would reccommend this school to anyone.

This is an excellent school. My child has excelled in the gifted program and loves to attend daily

Parent involvment is high at Endeavor. My daughter attended K there. No sports or extracurricular activites. Music and art rotation through the week with PE. My daughter had an excellent teacher-Mrs.Lantz. We both enjoyed her and she seemed to be the only teacher that was well informed of school functions. The PTA needed to be better on the ball with info of dates, times, reasons for fundraisers, etc... The principal was never seen at functions. Nicknamed the 'I don't know school' by parents because if you had a question about school functions or rules, the reply was I don't know.

I have two boys attending this school. First and Second grade. They have been in this school for one month. I have to say I am very happy with this school. I have very high expectations for my boys education and I have to say this scholl is living up to its 'A' reputation. The teachers are very involved, I think that they are very organized. The teachers are demanding academically which I think is excellent.

Wonderfull school. My daughters love it. Great environment for the kids. A++

This has been truly a wonderful school for our children. We highly recommend the school to those who are looking into moving in the area.

Endeavor Elementary is a melting pot of cultures and ethnicity. I think the children here a priviledged and have an advantage over schools that are not multi-cultural. Mrs. Vitale has embraced all of the students and parents that attend her school. She is as understanding and compassionate as a human can be. She is undoubtedly an incredible person and the kids absolutely love and respect her as do the parents.

We moved here from NY and were blown away at how wonderful this school was compared to the private school we had had our son in. All the teachers and staff are amazing. They really take the time to help the kids, not just with schoolwork, but any other problems as well. They teach the children responsibility for their actions, and help them become, as my son would say..'better citizens'. I would recommend this school to anyone!

My daughter is a 5th grader at Endeavor this year and I am extremely pleased with the quality of education and the overall attitude of everyone at this school. Go Navigators!

I am on the SAC committee for Endeavor and have found Mrs. Vitale, Mr. Pritts(VP), teachers, and staff to be approachable, excellent communicators who have been a pleasure to work with. It is readily apparent how much they care about the children and their education.

A school is only as good as its leaders and teachers. Mrs Vitale is with out question one of Orange counties best leaders. I have been blessed to have my kids go to a school of that quality

I'm so happy to be part of The Endeavor Elementary Familly. Is the best School that My daugter ever have been. We couldn't have a better principal than Mrs. Vitale she is the Best !!!!!!! And I recomend this School to anyone that whant's a High Quality Education for their Kids.
