Forest Lake Elementary is a great school. I have two children that attend this school. The staff are great with the children. The principal Mr. Fisher is the districts principal of the year.

My kids love to go to school here. And cannot wait to start again. Thank you to all your wonderful teachers.

The principal is one of the best principals I have seen in a long time. He is very 'hands on'. He hires wonderful teachers who are dedicated. They always keep me up to date on my child's progress. I love this school.

I have had my daughter go thru k-5 in this school and my son started kindergarten last year, and my family has had nothing but great experiences with all the teachers and the staff. It is a really great school.

Both my sister and have gone to Forest Lake, and thought it was a great school. I find that it doesn't like some schools offer special activities for the students who are'nt in gifted. Everyone is treated really fairly. I agree with the other parent about lots of new teachers, but I don't think it creates problems. Also even if it doesn't have many extra-curricular activities the kids are still satisfied, and that is all that matters, seeing as they are the ones who do it.

The principal is great and very 'hands-on'. He hires wonderful teachers. The school is run in a very organized manner. Parents are encouraged to participate. They may not have many extra-curricular activities. However, this 'is' an elementary school. I would not expect much until you get to a middle school. Overall, I think the school is great!

Both of my boys have gone to Forest Lake the past few years. I find that it's a great school with a great staff. The principal is the best! The faculty is caring and professional. My only complaint is that I think kids need recess every single day. The gross motor activity helps them to be more ready to work when they get back in the classroom. My kids are getting a great education at FLE. It's a great school.

I like the principal, but, think that their are too many new teachers. I also agree with the other parent about their not being enough extra activities for the children. I think it is important for the childrens social skills, to be able to communicate with the other children during free time.

We love it! My daughter is in the first grade and she has the best teacher in the world. Besides that, they are so active in Art, Music and Media. My daughters classroom has 5 or 6 computers. Even the food is great! There seems to be so much warmth and care. My 7 year old looks forward to school...enough said!

I found that the leadership at Forest Lake was excellent with a caring principal at the helm. One teacher in gifted classes was excellent while others just didnt always make the grade. There were too many students in each class and the teachers truly need additional help.

I liked Forest Lake in the beginning of the year but it has declined over the school year. My child is in Kindergarden and they have the same rules for them as the 5th graders. I just think the rules for K-gardeners should be a bit less harsh. I mean they are going to school for the first time ALL day. They need a little leway.

This is my second year my children have been enrolled at Forest Lake, and I am satisfied thus far. The teachers are very creative, and take into account the areas that my child is excelling in, and adjusts their work accordingly.

I find that the school does not offer enough extracurricular activities. The children are not offered recess daily and at times are not allowed to talk at lunch. Children need to have some means of releasing that stored energy and having some daily activities to look forward to.

My child has attended Forest Lake for two years, I have found that the teachers foster a great love of learning in their students. My child loves to go to school, and enjoys all the extra curricular events that are organized.

My daughter attended first grade for the school year 2002-2003. We have been very satisfied with her teachers and all the staff we have had contact with. Her primary classroom teacher fostered her need for extra stimulation in the classroom with a special reading group as well as a recommendation for an evaluation that has lead to her placement in an accelerated learning program for next school year. Her art teacher has encouraged her by displaying artwork at Publix. The library staff has multiple book fairs throughout the year that make it affordable and fun to buy books. The art/crafts fair, weekly pizza nights, Chick-fila nights, etc. give the kids and parents a chance to get together with teachers and each other. I have to give commendations to the after school program. It is top notch. Affordable and fun, I can't say enough good things about the ladies that put the time and energy into this program. We have had a very positive experience with this school and found that the teacher's and other staff are very receptive to parent input and assistance.

Both of my sons atended this school in the 2002-2003 school year. I was disappointed in the time it took to have my son evaluated for special services. His teacher never asked us for a conference the entire year. She also never told us till the last week of school that he may be held back. I was appauled on how situations were handeled and am happy that my children will not be at this school next year.
