Teague Middle School Reviews

TEAGUE is the best school! I just love going and getting an education and being and makeing great lifetime friends. It is my favorite place to be!

For the most part the staff is positive & they want the kids to learn. Slightly over crowded with 3 lunch periods!! Parent involvement is minimal; little outside sports activities b/c of money; gorgeous & well kept school. I son likes it :-)

This school has changed soo much throughout the years. One thing that has not changed is that they only focus on FCAT. If they see a child is not making the grade they just over look them. Dispite the need for that child to learn. No chld left behind. Yea right not so; but again this is not the only school that has this problem. They tend to judge students not for what they are capable of but were they come from. Not all staff is this way. Sad because if you are teaching you should never give up on the kids No Matter What. This school has grown to have a large population of diff children that come from different walks of life and some people don't like that! They are afraid or intimidated of what they don't know nor understand!

Teague Middle School could use a bit of cleaning up. The teachers are good, though. I wish the lunches weren't so packed up like they were last year.

While there are some remarkable exceptions, the teachers encountered in two years in this school generally seem afraid of the students and extremely nonsupportive. School focuses on fcat standards, but does not teach students to think critically or creatively. Definitely a factory school that accommodates the majority, but those that don't exactly fit the mold are left behind. Gifted program does not employ divergent thinking. Does not utilize student ep at all. Teachers overworked and undermotivated.

great school all around. The teachers are Wonderful and the students themselves are great. They work hard, you give them a project or assignment and they put all they have into the work at hand.

As a parent I found this school to be a very preppy school--more materialistic and style focus versus academic focused. I have seen a vast difference between this school and the school my child now attends in California. Although my child maintained a 3.8 GPA at Teague, the child was behind here in California. I think behavior and drug use is a big issue at this school. I do not recommend this school....it's all talk of a great school with little show.

Excellent academic record. A+ school. Has a Teague offers a one-of-a kind program for students with learning differences. Many students can remain in regular classes and have a teacher monitor and support them. FCAT scores are excellent and teachers really care about their students. Great staff. Extracurricular activities are also held to a high standard. Parental involvement is high and parents are encourage to get involved.

This is a good school that has challenged my daughter academically. The down side of the school is non-diversity of the student population. The school is primarily caucasion from higher income homes. My daughter says that less fortunate children and minorities are several times the brunt of jokes.

I have been a Teague parent for 2 years and have been completely satisified with both the teachers and staff. They are always willing to listent to my child and have been very helpful when it comes to my daughter choosing the right class to help her succeed.

Teague's school grade was changed to an 'A' from a 'B' after a review found a mistake had been made. Teague is one of the finest middle schools in the country. The teachers and staff are exceptional and the parent support is incredible. Teague students enjoy a top rate education and a safe environment in which to thrive both academically and socially. My own children loved Teague and enjoy participating in sports and clubs offered by the school. I give Teague my highest recommendation.
