Dr. Phillips has splendid art classes, in addition to have a plentiful selection of academics to choose from. Not to mention, we have several languages, including Japanese. Our student population is also large and diverse, with several people to talk to! There are also several sports for those who like sports, and lots of extracirricular activities around. Also, our teachers seem to take a genuine interest in our education.

I absolutely love DP. It is such a fun school! There are so many different types of clubs, electives, and games to enjoy and be a part of. Not to mention all the awesome teachers.

Dr. Phillips teachers are dedicated and talented. Even though classes can be very large, the quality of education remains high. Our football team is awesome, our drama and chorus departments rock, and the CIS program is amazing!

The students are great; I've met so many good people. The teachers are amazing too, and the magnets bring in so much talent over CIS, VPA, and Business Academy.

DP has one of the coolest campuses i've ever seen. It's so open and even though it can be kind of confusing at first, once you learn where everything is, it feels comfy. It feels like you belong no matter what your into.

I enjoy working at Dr. Phillips H.S. The administration is very conscientious about supporting the teachers, staff and students. By doing so, it allows us all to do our jobs.

I attended Dr. Phillips High School from 1994-1998. For a public school, I was offered the best education possible. Not only was I provided the best academic opportunities, but I also learned how to play the violin. The magnet program for music is top notch. I was afforded opportunities in the piano and orchestra. I was able to earn college credit through AP classes, learned how to drive in Drivers Ed., created in a music technology course, etc... The facilities, faculty, and opportunities were amazing. I couldn't have had a better high school experience.

Coming from teaching in Osceola County to teaching here at Dr. Phillips has been an eye opening experience. The two schools/counties are polar opposites. While Orange County and DPHS are greatly lacking in technology compared to Osceola, education in Orange County is leaps and bounds over Osceola. The regular education students that I teach at DPHS are much higher functioning. The lower level students function at a very low level, but mostly it's because they just don't care. DPHS is a caring, organized, and efficient school. The faculty, administration and staff work very well together. I laugh at some of the negative postings from parents because they are naive enough to believe their irresponsible children over responsible adults. The problems with this school do not stem from the teachers and administration, they stem from the students and their parents. Some parents are not supporting or working with the teachers.

Just graduated from the have seen school. I couldn't myself anywhere else. The schools encourages the students to attend college, and helps choose their major. The Magnet Programs are fantastic. I was not zoned for Dr. Phillips but drove over 30 minutes each way to participate in the Performing Arts Magnet. Great school, Great Teachers, Great Students. I always felt safe.

My son attends Dr. Phillips in the Drama magnet, and I have to say it has made a great deal of difference in his life. Coincidentally, I am also a Drama teacher at another high school. To me, the DPHS Drama program is a model that I try to emulate for the benefit of my students

Both my children attend the school. My older daughter has maintained Honors classes through out her education at the school and I am very pleased overall with the facilities. I have definitely seen a drastic down fall with the school within the past few years. Has anyone driven their children to school? and had to deal with the amazing amount of traffic.

Both my children went to Dr Phillips. They both enjoyed their time there. Homework was abundant and teachers were excellent. They have a new athletic director which is helping the school to be power house in the future.

I found this school to be a well rounded experience offering the best that education has to offer. The teachers are all well qualified professionals that genuinely care for the students. The campus is large and nice, and the layout is easy to get used to. The 9th grade center is a small walk from the main campus, and a nice facility in itself. The food served in the cafeteria is much better than some schools I have encountered. The diversity of the students is another bonus, as it translates into a more multicultural experience for the students.

This is such a great school. Many extra curricular activities and classes that other schools dont have. Full of diversity and culture. Also provides magnet programs such as International Studies, Medical, Business, Performing Arts and ROTC.

I feel that this school is very unorganized and they really don't have enough help for the amount of students they have. They need a new school to cover the overload in this area.

My daughter was almost zoned for another school (a low scoring school), and she was very upset about this. She wanted to go to Dr. Phillip's because of their great academic reputation. Thank goodness they didn't rezone or she would have had to go into a magnet program. But, she ended up graduating from Dr. Phillips with flying colors because of the great staff and faculty at Dr. Phillip's. She would not have been able to receive such a great education if she had not gone to 'D.P.', trust me, I know. I graduated from the other one.

Last year I moved here from NJ with my 16 year old son. He has no interest in his school work and I had to push hard to get him to progress. Everyone of his teachers, counselor and staff helped me get his grades up and because of their caring and teaching skills, he did very well. Thank you to all of you. PS Lots of diversity in the school and we alway felt welcomed.
