Spring Lake Elementary School Reviews

My son attended the 4th and 5th grade at Spring Lake. He had an excellent education and everyone on the staff helped him to succeed. Spring Lake treated us like family from the very beginning. The teachers and staff are professional and caring. Dr. Osborne and Mr. Balabas worked hard to solve any problems my son encountered . They took the time to care and that is what makes Spring Lake so special.

As a child who went to this school myself and have 3 children who went K-5. I believe that the disciplinary measures are unconventional and the dean and principal would much rather get 'rid of the problem' than resolve the issues. I have met wonderful teachers over the years but some are just plain lazy, those are the disturbing ones. The staff have kept a 'small town' attitude instead of broadening the scope.

My son is a student at Spring Lake Elementary. This has been our first year at this school and he loves it. My son tells me it feels like a family to him. The teachers and staff truly care and do their best to make sure each and every student is a success. Unlike a lot of schools, the principal is involved with the children as well. She has an open door policy and is always willing to listen to any concern that a parent might have. I am sad to say that my son only has one year left at Spring Lake Elementary. But, I will say they have prepared him to do his best no matter where he may go.

My child attends this school and he has never been bullied. The parents need to volunteer and get involved to support the school. The staff works hard and my child has stated that he never wants to leave Spring Lake.

My child was also being bullied and nothing even said about it. I have to push the issue to get a response. The school overall is an unsafe environment and I can't wait to move!

I have submitted a review before to state what a wondeful school this is. However, I never get mine posted. My nephew attends this school and we love it.

My child attended this school for 2 years. I was not satisfied w/ the way they handled bullying. The academic side was not the best either in that they didn't seem to be able to give my child the attention he needed to help him excel. My child is now in a different orange district school and is excelling and working to his grade level. He is also not having any problems w/ bullies b/c the teachers supervise dismissal a bit better.

I attended this school way back when and so do my children. Its a great school, all children have the opportunity to excel here. It takes more then one person to raise and educate a child. At this school this is what takes place. With parent involvement and teachers the children under stand the importance of learning. And that's what Spring lake does for the kids. My daughter is a student there at Spring Lake. She loves her school and likes the teachers that she's had there. The outside environment is peacefull and fits well with the outter neighborhood.I as a parent see my daughter's school as a pretty good school.Good learning environment, great teachers, pretty well behaved children.Spring Lake will be our family's elementary school for years to come, with all of my children.

wonderful school-It reminds me of the small schools up north. Anyone would be honored to be at this school. The students/staff especially are wonderful.

i recently moved to ocoee and heard lots of great comments about spring lake..my son enjoys it, i also enjoy the teachers and staff there they are very helpful when a problem arises, i recommend spring lake to any parent if you want good teaching for your child, spring lake is great, my son has truly learned alot, thanks to his third grade teacher

Spring Lake has a good overall academic program. Unfortunately, due to budhet they no longer have an art program. It is a small community oriented school with a caring professional staff.

My son has attended this school since Kindergarten - it may be an older facility, but he has received nothing less than a superior education thus far. I would recommend this school to anyone.

I feel the parents and faculty at Spring Lake Elementary compliment each other fantastically. Both accept responsibility for the students education and enrichment. This is a fine public school just when you think private is the way to go try Spring Lake Elementary. The lunch room food is nutritous and delicious too.

My children have been attending this school since 1997, the principal and a couple of teachers are wonderful. But there is always that 1 bad orange. But thanks to Dr. Osbourne, she is always there to help the parents when they have any problem. She has an open door policy. Parents need to speak up when there is a problem with a teacher. Because communication is very important between parents, teachers, staff and principal.

My child has attended this school since 2001 and the teacher's there have always overlooked her needs they do not individualize students needs she has always fallen behind and no matter how many meetings I schedule with Dr. Osborn, Mr. Benabes or her homeroom teacher she still has not received the help she needs.

All my children have attended this school since 1998. It is a pleasure to see dedicated teachers, prinicpal and staff. There involvement with the children is ordinary. I give this school all the stars they deserve.

This is a nice school. There are some great teachers here who really care about their students.
