My sons are now attending IB programm in MMS. It is a new programm and can be inproved. MMS moved into its brand new facility earlier this year and it looks really beautiful. Dr. Shames, the principal, is very nice and hard working, so as the assistant principals. Although there are a lot to be improved, in my opinion, MMS is on its way.

MMS got a new principal this year. The school is in an old elementary school and doesnt' have a gym right now but the new building will be real nice when it's done. The soccer team won the championship game! There is a chess club and science club and mentors and an IB program. There is band too but they really need more instruments. My child likes being a Memorial Soldier!

MMS prides itself with its HIGH FIVE'S: BE 1)RESPECTFUL 2) RESPONSIBLE 3)DEDICATED 4)MOTIVATED 5)SAFE. The principal, teachers and staff are working very hard to improve the FCAT test scores for MMS. Although I do not personally believe that this fairly represents the school. Ms. Burke has continuously worked hard to improve academic standards. The Band continues to soar to great heights under the leadership of JB Wilkins, winning competitions and getting rave reviews. Kids are involved in sports and compete in interscholastic competitions. There is a feeling of warmth when you walk into the office. Ms. Burke is very visible in the school and she is very approachable. Same is true for the teachers and staff. School uniforms is also a norm, and although it is yet to become mandatory, majority of the students do wear school colors most of the time. Strict dress code is enforced. WAY TO GO MMS!
