Boone is a well established school, is an A school for obvious reasons and gets a lot of support from the community. It has great teachers, administrators and the students are good kids too.

It is a very large high school with a small town feel. Great teachers, great kids and wonderful traditions that span generations.

The sense of community. Parents that attended Boone move to the same neighborhood so their children can and do attend Boone. The students have a lot of respect for teachers and parents. The school is run very well. One feels good while visiting the campus because the staff and students are working hard in a nurturing environment.

For generations Boone High School has produced great students, leaders, graduates and upstanding community members. The traditions have continued for years and are looked upon by each generation as an anticipated rite of passage. Our family is in their 3rd generation of Boone students and are proud to be a part of such and outstanding school!

I am currently a junior at boone high school and so far i have loved it. In the begining i wanted to go to colonial but after a while i saw that it was a great school. The teachers are not only caring but they push you hard to do your best. I love the atmosphere of the place i mean of course every school has their bad kids but over all its a great school. Like our motto says 'Boone braves today, brave leaders tommorrow'! Go Boone braves.

As a senior at Boone High School, I couldn't think of a school that could provide me with as many opportunities as Boone has. The teachers are spectacular and genuinely care about each of their students. If someone is having a bad day or going through emotional struggles, any teacher will take them aside and ask if everything is OK. There are not many other schools that can combine the caring attitude with phenomenal academics and extracurricular activities for everyone. We are FOREVER BRAVE! '08!

I am the parent of a Boone freshman and a 2007 Boone graduate. I love the school and I love the neighborhood. The academics are demanding. My daughter and son loved going to this school. They would even go when sick. It also helps that the median income of the parents of Boone students are in the upper range of Flirida.

Boone high school has always been a wonderful school in all aspect. High achievments in academics, sports, extra-curriculars ect. Im a BHS Graduate Class of '07 and I must say that while the school is one of the best available in orange county (maybe even all of florida) one of the greatest things about it had always been its value on tradition. While Mr. Hattabaugh was principal tradition was a strong part of being a Brave quickly after he left all of the traditions slowly started to die.

Boone was a great school when Mr. Hattabaugh was principal but has been losing it's sense of family and community since he left. New principal, a Boone graduate seems more interested in getting rid of traditions than cultivating them. She also wants all the students to be the same. Dedicated teachers are bailing on this school while the mediocre ones remain.

I am now an upcoming Sophomore, My grades were awesome during my Freshman year because the teachers there do not and will not let you fail. They show that they do care. They have alot of activities and sports for everyone to enjoy. So I highly recommend this school to everyone.

I've been going here for 9 weeks and I love this place. I've made alot of new friends here and I get along with most of the students. I'm not bullied one bit and I have much better grades here than I did at T.H.A. and the classes are so much better and more challenging. It has teachers who care and help other students. I highly recommend this school to anyone.

Excellent AP courses available. Active PTA and parent community.

Great school but very disappointed in the fact that the Finance Magnet classes are considered an elective and do not count towards the required credits for graduation. How can that be for a progrm/class that you have to apply to get in and continue to meet all of the GPA requirements to stay in. On top of that it is a very demanding class!

Of the Orange County H.S's I still think Boone is one of the best. However you must stay on top of things. If you need to speak to the office, a counselor, change a class, you will need to call a few times , email a few times and even go there. They are overcrowded and have to deal with that, as best they can. Not necessarily what you would expect a reasonable time frame would be. The courses are on target and electives are numerous. But it is easy for a child to get lost in the shuffle, especially if they may need any assistance.

Boone High School provides excellent educational opportunities for its students. They are accountable to high achievement and the staff is dedicated. The students are generally good kids who want to excell. Our daughter is a senior who has escelled academically, enjoyed her time in the Creative Arts Academy, has made many good friends, and will miss her high school when she graduates in May.

Boone is an oustanding school with strong leadership and an outstanding teaching staff. Dedicated to developing brave students today...Boone remains a 'family' type school in the downtown Orlando area. It's really a special place!

Academic programs are very strong. Some of the teachers are very helpful and willing to teach for the sheer joy of teaching and not for the money! They have a spectacular music program, plus they have a pretty good sports program. Even after expansions, though, the school is still rather overcrowded.

It's a great school, but it's a bit overcrowded.

Boone is a wonderful school. Although it excells in almost all of it's sports, students interested in art, drama or computers are also offered awesome programs. The teachers, many whom attended Boone themselves, are great and care about the students. Administration does a great job keeping everyone is line without being super strict.

My daughter attends the Law magnet program at this school and adores it. Not only does Boone provide a great education but it is diverse and extremely easy going.

Boone high is better than the alternative on Oak Ridge. My kid has not been beaten up, and enjoys his teachers. It is a more peaceful environment in which my kid can study. His teacheres want him to learn and there is after school tutoring. Anyway, the school is crowded, but teachers are available to help after school.

Boone High School is too easy. I went here 2002-2003 and the classes were boring. They dont prepare you for college. Florida needs to put a more rigourous curriculm in if they want to get up in the statistics. Im from New York and they prepare you here with tough Regents Exams and 44 Credit Accumulation. Regents Diplomas look better on your application than a crummy Florida diploma.

I feel my daughter is receiving an excellent education through the magnet program that is parallel to any private school in town. Traditions live on at Boone, and community values thrive.
