Deltona Christian School Reviews

Deltona Christian School is a great school. For me as a parent it is a blessing to have my daughter at DCS. She has been there since Pre-K and now she will be in 6th Grade. The education is outstanding, the teachers and the whole staff starting with the Herchenroder's (Principal, Administrator, etc.) are great people and most of all they love the Lord, love the students and love what they do and it shows! It is a school where a Christian Education is very important and it reflects in everything that they do. My daughter loves being a student a DCS. I would not change it for anything, even in this hard economy times that we are living in. I will work two jobs if I have to, for my daughter to stay at DCS and not have to go to a public school. God bless DCS, the students and the staff and may God enlarge their territory! Like the prayer of Jabez.

My boys are now entering their 4th year at DCS. They started in K-3 and K-4, both were reading by the end of the year. Now they are both honor students and just cant wait for school to start again. We love this school and I will do whatever it takes to keep them there.

My child is new to DCS he came to the school in the middle of the school year. My child was in public school. To make a long story short. My son went from a class of 32 to a class of 12. My son now loves School, loves his teacher, Class in not too long. The tummy aches are gone. Most importantly he is getting a great Christian education. Shame on me for not brining him to DCS when my sister told me to, two years ago.. Thank you Mr. H (sorry do not know how to spell your last name) for taking the time to talk to me. My son and I love your school.. :-)

Not sure what some of the other reviews are about. If you believe in true biblical faith/morals, this school will be an answered prayer to your family too. If you believe other 'Christian' teachings that amount to justifying continued sin in your life/family or that all roads lead to heaven, you will not find those things supported here. Our daughter's been through several schools - public & a couple different Christian denominations - due to our family moving & has now attended DCS for >1 year. This is the first time our daughter LOVES going to school & I was immediately impressed by the genuine faith of the faculty & the respect/kindheartedness of almost all the students towards adults and other students. None are perfect & some families closer to the Lord than others, but quality of education/people are a blessing. Only downside is not a wide choice of afterschool activities.

Its a horrid school thats thinks they help children spiritually but draws them away from God and it's morals!

Deltona Christian School is an answer to prayer for our family. The curriculum is thorough and challenging, but what I appreciate most is the spiritual community my kids are now a part of. The Holy Bible is the foundation upon which DCS operates, and the love of God is evident and imparted to the students. We are blessed to have found this school.

DCS is a wonderful school where my child has received an excellent education. The teachers are dedicated, caring, and qualified. The one thing that I love most about DCS is that the entire school program centers around the Bible and the things of the Lord. The kids learn to read at the age of four and write cursive in 1st grade. I don't know about the last person's comment but me it has been a more than pleasant experience.

DCS was a horrible experience for my children. The lack of educated teachers combined with no consistency in discipline provided an environment detrimental to a learning environment.

It's a'ight! uniforms, tucking in shirts, slips, no gum, no cellphones, just great!!! he...he

Deltona Christian school and its faculty do an outstanding job to educate the students with the most up to date curriculum as well provide a stable & safe environment. Additionally, the emphasis on Christian based values and morals is their top priority to ensure our children are taught to respect the authority of God.

DCS is the best school in Central Florida and the tuition is very affordable. They have a great Pre-school program for 3 and 4 year olds. The 4 year olds read out of little books giving them a great foundation for Kindergarten. I plan for my son to graduate from Highschool at DCS.

I love this school. The staff is wonderful. My son is learning so much. I can not say enough good things about this school. Everything they do is Christ centered, which in our family we find very important. The students are taught way above the public school standards, they expect their students to excell more then in they would in a public school and the students do. Its proven, check them out.

DCS does offer choir, band, art, and a high school sports program.

I do not like the lack of extracurricular activities. No music, no art. I feel those things are important for a well rounded education.

Both of my younger children have attended since age 4, beginning with their Pre-K program. Both children were reading at the end of Pre-K. They have a very strong learning ciricculum, integrated with their faith-based cirriculum. Penmanship is taught as well. I would not have gotten the same results from public school that I get from DCS. The children are excited and involved. Starting in Kindergarten, testing is done every year to track their grade level progress. Last year my oldest was in K and tested out at 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade levels in her subjects. Public schools struggle to get children passing/testing at current grade levels. My children have acheived incredible academis success.

Deltona Christian School must be one of the best Christian schools in Central Florida. The school was founded in 1974 and is a ministry of Faith Baptist Church. They use a curriculum that completely integrates Christian philosophy and outstanding academics. Deltona Christian School has an enrollment of approximately 235 students including K4-12. The student count for each class room is approximately 10 to 20 students. The teachers are know for their envolvement in their local church, their love for the Lord and their passion to see their students become more Christ like while getting an excellent education. I would highly recomend this school to anyone that is looking for excellence in education with a Christian perspective.

Deltona Christian is the best Christian school in the area 5 year old can read before they leave to 1st grade. This is a school with God in heart and mind. My son has been here year I'm proud of all the bible verses they learn
