The Parke House Academy Reviews

My child has attended The Parke House Academy for the last year and we are thrilled with it. It is very focused on academics, moreso than most area schools, but the children are thriving in this challenging environment. They balance the academics with many extracurricular activities and truly nurture the students. The small class sizes are a big plus in our book as well. Our child was accepted into one of the more well known private schools here but we are so glad we chose PHA. It's the hidden secret gem of Winter Park.

I am a student here at The Parke House Academy. I very much enjoy this school and I hope your children do to. I sure know that a lot of students are doing very well and there parents are very proud. We have a lot of extracurricular activities at the school. Also after school we have extended day and if you get to school early you can wait in the cafeteria for your teacher to call you in. I really think it is a very good school. I would really recommend it.

I am a new parent in the preschool division, and I couldn't be happier. I am not as familiar with the upper division. The preschool program has been wonderful for my child. The school is clean with newer facilities (rare in Orlando!). The teachers are very caring, and the small class size is wonderful for this age. I highly recommend this school for preschool. The curriculum is advanced, but not pushy. My child is happy and learning a great deal. The structure of the program is something that was lacking in the Orlando market. I am so thankful I found Parke House! You can be sure your child will receive a good education.

The Parke House has the potential to be a great school. My child has enjoyed his time here, but I am thinking of pulling him out before he advances any farther in the upper division. The administration of the school is not as professional as I had hoped for. I think that they will let any child in the school if the parents can pay the high tuition. I would not recommend this school because they are inconsistent with policies and it sets a bad example for the children. Please be advised, Parke House is not the acclaimed school it wants to be.

Our son has thrived at Parke House. There focus on citizenship and appropriate social etiquette are a terrific value add to the advanced curriculum. Language programs could use some improvement and intramural sports programs are lacking. The school leadership goes out of their way to make each child feel special.

We are very impressed with Parke House. It has amazing teachers who are very friendly and very smart. The afterschool porgram is also great and the aftercare teachers take care of the children wonderfuly. The school is pricey, but its worth the tuition!

We switched to Parke House over a year ago, and as parents, we couldn't be happier. I have witnessed many teachers and staff members handling children in ways that surprise me. They genuinely care for the children. The academics are superior, and the administration respects families and listens to their concerns. The teachers who have left have had to for valid reasons. We left another private school in the area because we weren't happy, and that makes me appreciate Parke House. As a former teacher, I couldn't be happier. Believe me, I have seen first-hand other private schools in Orlando, and this school has been a blessing. My children are happy every day when I pick them up. In fact, I can't get my youngest to leave some days!

My children have been attending this school for a few years now. When we first attended we were very happy and let everyone know it. We are not happy with the changes and the school is going down hill. The teachers never stay and the administration is weak.

I have had all three of my children at The Parke House Academy for many years now and I believe I couldn't have found a better place for them to be. While the academics have been advanced, they have never seemed to be too challenging. The small class size has been worth the higher tuition. There is a very nurturing and involved faculty and every year I have been thrilled with the quality of teachers that have been hired. The best part is that my children love to go to school and love to learn. They are very self assured, kind, considerate and well educated and that has been learned and reinforced at this school.

I've just enrolled my daughter in this school for preschool and the small class size and attention to detail is fantastic! I recommend this school for any parent who is interested in starting their child off the right way!

This school is excellent if your child is very academically driven. The staff is very concerned about the children and strive to meet the needs of their student body. Since this school is relatively expensive, it attracts only those who can afford to send their children to this pricey school. Since the school does not offer tuition assistance, the students are homogenous and lack the cultural diversity that one would find in other less advantageous areas. The school offers wonderful art, music and cultural programs. For those who can afford it and for those children who are conformists, its worth the price of the tuition.

The lower school provides a loving, academic environment. Teachers are energetic and passionate about children and trying to reach each one individually. The upper school is lacking facilities. Teachers come and go. Parent involvement is pretty good.

Parke House Academy is a very small private school with very small class sizes. There seems to be a high turnover of teachers and some of the assistant teachers do not seem well trained in the subjects they are responsible for. The school pushes children a year beyond themselves (first grade is studying second grade material), but there is a major concern that the children are often skipping important essentials and being pushed beyond their maturity levels. There is an availability of various extracurricular activities, however many teachers want to be paid extra for tutoring students in subjects that the teachers were not covering well in school. It was the feeling of some parents that tutoring should be offered as part of the curriculum and not as an extra expense to the student. The principal at this school is awesome and works very hard for the children.

A great academic private school, with an excellent staff and family environment. My son thrives in the environment!

My son has received a great education at The Parke House Academy.

As parents, and as non-employees of The Parke House Academy, my wife and I feel that this school provides the most advanced, quality 'plus' education (gr. 1-5) in an open and caring enviroment with minimal students per class. We believe without a doubt that this the finest elementary school in the central Florida area, educationally out-pacing all other private schools and miles ahead of any public school in the state, bar none!
