Lake Forrest Preparatory School Reviews

Lake Forrest Prep is not only a great educational institution but also a loving warm environment where children can learn and grow. They look at every child as an individual and are willing to accomodate each child's needs and interests. LFP creates an enviroment that challenges their students not only educationally but also teaches them about moral and social responsibility which starts in the early years. My son is currently in the PreK3 class and has amazing teachers and coaches that not only teach him math, writing, spanish, music, PE etc, but also the importance of being respectful to the environment as well as his teachers and classmates - he often states that his class is his 'school family', values that are quite often overlooked in today's educational environments that are so focused on FCAT scores.

My long teaching experience at Lake Forrest Prep has been one of great professional satisfaction. I cannot think of a better curriculum, and my caring, knowledgable, and dedicated colleagues make going to work every day a pleasure. We all enjoy what we do, and that shows through on a daily basis. Our children are happy, challenged and safe. Our students' standardized test scores at the end of every year attest to the fact that we go over and above what is necessary in any given subject area. I am happy and proud to be an integral part of this wonderful school!

I've never experienced teaching in such a wonderful environment of supportive and open administration, dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues, and mostly such wonderful kids.

Nothing compares to the great education that this outstanding school provides. When your child scores high school and post-high school in the annual test when only in an elementary grade level, you will realize that every penny spent was worth it.

I am glad I have found a place that is truly what I believe education and school experience should be.

This is a great school that teaches far more in education than what I remember learning at their age. We are proud our sons attend!

I can not express how amazing this school is. The curriculum is above and beyond any other school we checked into prior to choosing Lake Forrest. It isn't just what they teach it is how they teach, the kids do not even realize how much they are learning as everything flows together. I see how far ahead my child is just by speaking with other parents who have children the same age in different schools. I knew that her first years in school would set a precedence for education and study habits and LFPS is guiding her to an excellent future. They offer after school care and many many programs from Brownies, Cub Scouts, Dance, Karate etc and all are right there at the campus which is a HUGE bonus for working parents. The entire staff, truly, from the heart, CARES and I couldn't ask for more for my angel girl.

I am so happy and proud that my daughter attends such an Outstanding School. From the time we enter the school, until we leave it everyone there is extremely friendly, knowledgeable. In the Pre-K class room, my daughter adores her teacher and classmates. They are learning so much this year with the Saxon Math-K program, Spanish, Music and lets not for get PE-With Coach. I am so thankful for the after school activities that they offer at the school( Ballet/Tap, Art,Tumble Time )...just a few that help make my daughter a more rounded individual. Thanks to the staff for always being there to answer questions and make moms like me more comfortable in leaving my precious child there with them.

Kenworthy is a fantastic school! Their curriculum is amazing and it keeps the students one grade level AHEAD of where they would be in public schools. It is also very family friendly, hours are 630 am to 6 pm. Plus, the students get P.E., music, and Spanish DAILY. This is a luxury the public schools rarely have since FCAT took over and budgets have been cut. The faculty is close knit and they treat all of the kids like one big extension of their own families. Parent involvement is encouraged, and Kenworthy definitely has gracious parents. They volunteer weekdays and even some weekends, whenever the school needs them, they are there. Most parents are on a first name basis with the whole staff! Spend one day there on a tour, and I promise you will love it.

Academics are excellent at this school. School offers music, art, theatre, sports, etc. School focuses on the whole person. loving & compassionate staff.

Kenworthy is an excellent school and really pays attention to the needs of the individual child. Your child is cared for by all of the teachers and staff.

Excellent attention to students and their individual needs, small classes and PE every day! (Imagine that?!) Great School!

My child is in the pre school at Kenworthy and we are very pleased with how well she has done in their care. She is not yet two and has an advanced vocabulary. The school is great with the kids, they have music everyday, play outside and do countless art projects. The teachers have weekly plans that they share with the parents on what they are learning. They also have a parent organization that is for the pre-school and the elementary school. We enjoy this school very much and look forward to continuing here. The only drawback is that the school stops at fifth grade.

I believe that for the amount of money that this school charges their curriculum would be more impressive. They have a very small campus, no gym, and a very small library. Not impressive, for the amount of money they charge. This school is due for improvements.

Unfortunately, the school has declined. Class sizes are similar to public schools and there is less attention to students individual learning needs. There is an increasing tendency for the school to make arbitrary decisions without parental input. We have recently pulled our son out due to the above reasons and feel the public school in our district is comparable and free.
