Trinity Christian Academy Reviews

I enrolled my child in this school with an open mind despite the reviews. However, after glancing at the books, I realize that this school is very much behind academically. Iwas shocked to see that my child has already learned about 3/4 of the contents of theMath book in her previous grade in public school. My child also stated that although the teacher is very nice, she is extremely disorganized and confuses the children when she jumps from one lesson to another. The children actually complained to eachother about it. From what I can observe, everyone appears extremely warm and nurturing. However, some teachers may be a bit too old to be teaching. I believe someone needs to evaluate the academic standards in comparison to public schools. If I continue to see a decline in her studies, I will have no choice but to take her out.

I love Trinity thier teachers and staff are definitly the best in deltona. well as far as i am concerned i would drive my kid from anywhere in florida to attend this school nothing but the best for my kids and i am not loaded either but i think a education like this is definitly priceless

I never had a discipline problem and I left the school after one year. The school prices are constantly going up and most of the money is probably ging to their athletic program. The football players can do whatever they want to do. They need to invest in more computers, hardcover textbooks, and more teachers. My history teacher was swapped out three times last year. A student cannot function like that. A lot of these teachers have degrees in one subject, yet teach three. Elementary is ok. Middle and High School is hjorrible.

I think i forgot to rate this school in my review, but i give it 5 stars for teaching christian principles, for great leadership and caring teachers and for a well run sports program. my kids had attended public school before, thank God for a place like Trinity!!

i have worked at trinity for almost 10 years now. i have seen it go from around 200 students to over 600. it is amazing how many students come back to tell us that they would give anything to be back here. there are many people who just don't fit into a certain type of school and become unhappy. that unhappiness usually comes from within. the leadership at trinity has turned this school around. we have discipline, rigor in academics, a wonderful fine arts progra and a great athletic program. your child can get all he/she needs at Trinity and a great christian education along with it. We seek to minister to every child that attends here the true love of Jesus and you can't get any better than that.

It is amazing how innacurate many of these reviews are. Please be careful when reading from sites such as these - they are most often places for the disgruntled to vent because they have a discipline problem or didn't pay thier bills. TCA is among the cheapest in Central Florida for tuition. One reviewer mentioned the renovations and stated that they were done during school - in fact they were done over the summer - an investment of over $500,000.00 does that sound money hungry to you? Its not all about sports- check out SAT scores, the number of graduates in college and all of the fine arts programs including award winning art and band! My children are receiving a Christian education in a wonderful place. Perfect? No place is. Many who have left for public schools have returned - what does that tell you?

My son has been there since the VPK program and is now in 2nd grade. I do not feel that they push the athletic program. The school tries to bring out the best in each student whether it be academically or scholastically. I feel that they ar exceeding the public school academics.

All they care about is the sport team Academically, students are way behind public school students. Teachers are old. The rest just do not care to challenge them. Barely any homework. Very partial to staff children and sports team. My child feel way behind compared to public school friends -- and she was a strait A student before coming here. Principal could care less about any of these concerns from the parents. They are not caring and loving toward the children as they should be. Actually they seem like they do not even like children, but they sure like money! And this is a 'christian school'! Save yourself the agrevation. Find another school. These people care more about the money , not the students or God for that matter.

Reading all of the forums on this website from previous students who say that they have not had a good learning experience at Trinity, I can honestly say that I believe them due to the spelling issues on many of these blogs. I also know from experience of having two of my children attend TCA. My son graduated, but took my daughter out after 2 years. Their idea of an honors class is to put them up one grade level and let it go at that. If it hadn't of been for me, the parent, suggesting that she be put into their 'honors' class it never would have been done. I don't believe they follow their students progress and try to challenge them enough. I am much happier with a public school.

I actually have two children attending Trinity I will have to give accolade to the elementary program, but unfortunately the middle and high program are a joke. I am absolutely appalled at what my older child comes home with for home work I myself is an educator, and I think my children are not been challenge enough, nor do they offer enough extra curriculum for the students.

I'm proud of having my kids in TCA

Trinity is a wonderful school!! The teachers and other staff members have great friendshiop's with all of the kids!

My child has been attending TCA for several years now. Initially, I thought that the school was providing my child with a quality education. However, recently, I have begun to question this. The middle school level has the highest teacher/staff turn-over-rate that I have seen. Teachers leave in the middle of the school year, and parents are not immediately notified. They need to focus on acquiring and keeping quality teachers instead of demanding that parents pay for improvement fees for the building. I am very dissapointed with the school and will soon remove my child from TCA. I would reccomend elementary as a school but not middle school.

Trinity is an outstanding place to teach your child christian education as well as reading, math, social studies, etc. Loving staff that will go behind to make sure your child's education is met. Awesome administration that works with both parent and teacher in a professional manner.

I love trinity the staff and atmosphere is great. all the complaints i have seen on this page looks to me like parents with children who are disruptive or not very bright so i say if you have an exceptionally bright child they will learn alot as apposed to some who dont absorb the information they are definitly being taught sounds like a bunch of bitter parents and students who couldnt keep up

I attended Trinity for three years and had a horrible experience. After leaving I could honestly not think of one good thing to say about the school. They seem to only care about their football team, and if you are not a good player then expect to be treated unfair. They let there varsity members get away with just about anything and mistreat the rest. A large majority of the teachers seem to completely dislike kids and are impossible to communicate with. Others are very old in age and unfortunately cannot teach well. We gave the school are concerns about such teachers many times, but they never seemed to care or pay attention to what we had to say. The dean will never listen to your problems either unless you play football. Over all it was a very bad experience and I suggest you stay away.

I am a parent of a child that attends elementary at Trinity and we will definately not be returning for next school year. This school is really money hungry and there is a lack of discipline also. From our observation, there are just a lot of bad apples from public school that are attending Trinity. My child has developed poor self esteem after attending this school. I would not recommend Trinity Christian Academy.

I am the parent of two former preschool students.I can't say enough about what my children learned here during thier time at this school. They both went to public school for elementary school and my oldest son is in 5th grade and has been in gifted since 1st. My youngest son is in 1st grade and reading on a 3rd grade level. They both had Mrs. Louise for k-4 when they attended here, she had both of them reading before they left preschool, they still talk about her now as being thier favorite teacher.I would recommened pre school to anyone.

My daughter was in this school for 2 years, almost. Ms Schmitt is the best teacher ever. But that was the only time my daughter had the light in her eye & couldn't wait to wake up & go to school the next day. Now there are 22 students 1 teacher & an add that bounces between classes. Gym & playground got fixed during school time, right after summer break instead of during. Fees keep going up & I don't see anything getting better. School is very old & dirty. I am withdrawing during christmas.

Wow! There isn't enough space to say all that I could...my son's 5th grade year was amazing and Mrs.Campis is a blessing. Then, it was all downhill from there. There was a previous remark about only the children of the staff are treated well and I believe that is true. Check out the other options before trinity. It really is about your money, not your child.

The classes are overcrowded. The slower learners are mixed with the advanced kids. We pray more than we work. Prayer is good before school but religion should be taught at home. If you want to become a pastor then I would suggest tca. Other than that tca needs a makeover academically.

I transferred my child from this school due to the declining interest in the children and the obvious increase of interest in the 'bottom line' and overall decline in the school. My child had attended this school since kindergarten. While in elementary school I was satisfied with the school overall. There has however been tremendous faculty turnover which is not a good sign. I have found there to be an inconsistent application of discipline towards the students and pettiness among the staff. Hopefully the principal can provide the leadership to turn this back into a school where I would want to place my child.

My daughter has been at Trinity for 4 years now, starting in the preschool and now into the elementary school. I love the school. Every teacher she has had has been exceptional. They all have welcomed and encouraged input and involvement from parents. The atmosphere is friendly and safe. There has never been a day that my child did not want to go to school and in fact, even when she is sick, I have to force her to stay home. She enjoys going, enjoys being there and has sincerely loved each of her teachers. She has excelled both academically and spiritually. I would recommend this school to anyone who truly wants to take an active roll in their child's education and to see their child excel.

my child is entering the fifth grade and has been at this school since entering first grade, she has learned not only strong academics but has a solid foundation for her spiritual life also. tca offers many extracurricular activities that not all private schools offer, such as art, computers, music, spanish and sports for lower classes as well as the upper grades. the parents all seem very involved in their children, school, and relationships with other tca familys. i am extremely happy in all aspects of tca. and i thank god daily for my child being able to learn in such an environment.

Greeting parents! I'm so glad you have taken the opportunity to 'check out' TCA! We are dedicated to making your child's school experience one of excellence in spirit, academic, and physical education. Our mission is to partner with you, the parent, to raise up children who will love and serve the Lord Jesus, and who will be prepared to take his name to places of pre-eminence in the community. In other words, we want to graduate Christian leaders. We are committed to preparing them academically to enter any college of their choice, or into the workforce with all the tools they need to succeed. We also are committed to providing quality athletic programs, registered with the Florida High School Athletic Association so your child has the opportunity to compete on the interscholastic level in a quality program, and go on to compete for college scholarships. I hope you will take the time to visit our website at www.trinitychristianacademy.com to 'check us out' even further.

This school is clean the teachers are great with the children. My daughter has been going here for two years now and I think it is the best out there for young children.the class rooms are nice and are not over crowded.

I love this school, and the teachers that I have met are wonderful. I think the uniform is great. I feel very safe leaving my child there. i recommend this school 100%.

I would not reccoment this school to anyone I know! The school progress in teaching is much slower paced than should be, the students (in high school anyway) are not learning nearly as much. The information is not available for student access- small library, no internet access. The school is strick on the rules, but leanient on learning. Would have been much better off putting my child in a regular or a different private school.

My child has attended school here since K-5 and is now going into the 5th grade. She has done very well acedemically. Sports activities are offered for middle and high school. Music dept is wonderful with lessons in just about anything from singing to instumental instruction. Band is offered(may be mandatory) grade 5 and above. Art is always a part of the curriculum. Parents are a great part of this school. We all volunteer to help out whenever we can.

My child was once a student at this school. I found that the only students that get the attention or the help they need are the children of the staff. The communication between staff and parents is horrendous. And their kindergarten teacher has had multiple complaints for her screaming at the students yet she continues to work there. This school is only interested in your wallet, not your child.

I was once a student not to long ago at this school. I found that this school was a school for students who were rejected from all other schools. If the Principal, vice-principal, and a vast amount of the teachers and students weren't bad enough, the education that this school served was unimaginably weak and outdated. For me this school was a horible and even deprising experiance. I highly recommend you do not send your children to this school.

Trinity has been a blessing and a life changing experience for my 15 year old daughter. She has ADD and a learning disability but she is succeeding at Trinity beautifully. Her soical life has never been so wonderful and the teachers show so much interest in their students. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants a safe environment and loving environment for their child.
