“Conway Middle School is an excellent school in my preferences. The teachers and staff work together excellently and the teachers are always willing to help whenever they can. Students are generally good, they have a regular middle school attitude. However, I think the teachers are letting the kids grow up to fast and not taking as much responsibilty for them as they should. Overall, CMS is wonderful.”

“I am in 6th grade and I love it at conway the teachers are so nice the food is great but it is overcrowded due to construction and the bad thing about the school is that the lunch periods are to short”

“Before moving from Kissimmee to Orlando a year ago, I spoke with people at my new job location who recommended the Conway area. My daughter attended two months of seventh grade and her entire eighth grade at CMS. She made 4 best friends whose parents share my 'old fashioned' ideals. She struggled in math and her teacher offered tutoring every morning. My daughter told me that because CMS was an 'A' school, she wanted to 'do better'. She put forth more effort this past year than she ever did during her school years in Kissimmee. The quality of education at CMS is excellent. The teachers are committed and caring. Teachers encourage e-mail from parents and students so it was easy to stay informed. The move from Kissimmee to Orlando was the best decision I ever made and it's because my child attended CMS.”

“Conway has a dedicated staff of teachers, administrators and staff. The principal is fantastic. She is accessible, understanding and consistent. The level of parent involvement is less than I would have expected at this school. The academic programs vary -- there are some enrichment programs but overall the quality is compromised by the students. The student population is drawn from the numerous apartment complexes that line Conway Road and many students are transfers from out-of-state -- primarily NY and NJ. While there are some wonderful programs available, the teachers spend a lot of time on disciplining and maintaining order. There is also a gang problem in the neighborhood and in the school.”

“I can't say enough about cms, my daughter went there as well for 3 years and excelled wonderfully, she did how ever get into a littel trouble at first but the adjustment was easy after that. She left cms making a/b honor roll and i could not be more proud of her or be more thankful for the dedicated staff and teachers. Any child that attends conway will get the best of everything he or she will ever need from a middle school.. Again thanks to all of you for helping my daughter enter her adulthood with the knowledge she will need to succeed in high school.”

“As a parent of a child that attended this school for 3 years I can't speak highly enough about this school. My son not only received a top notch education he grew into young adulthood with guidance from teachers and administration. They have such a well rounded program for every child involved. Even when my son got into trouble like they do, I never felt they went beyond proper punishment. They may get a A grade from the state but I feel they deserve higher then that. People say that public education is lax and failing, Conway Middle proves that wrong.”

“I was happy with the academics at the school, however the overcrowding and behaviour problems were intolerable. Staff didn't seem able to control behavior of students.”

“My daughter is in Discovery Strand at CMS. They take education very seriously and require quite a bit of homework on a daily basis. My daughter has learned personal responsibility and has not had any negative incidents at CMS. It is a wonderful educational institution.”

“Well I went to Conway when I was little and I just can't think how it has changed there are more proficient teachers that can handle things that other teachers can't in other schools. Both my children have gone to Conway and my daughter is an eighth grader there and she loves it. She can get the education she wants and also be with people she can trust. I just can't thank Conway enough for everything they have done for me and my children.”

“My daughter is in the eighth grade. She was a typical teenage student. I am pleased with the support the teachers have given her. Communicating by e-mail with her teachers has been very easy and satisfying. The overcrowding has been the only drawback. However, we moved into the Conway area 12 years ago specifically for the schools.”

“Both of my sons have or are attending Conway Middle. We are unfortunately moving but I wanted to say thank you Conway! Wonderful school. I don't worry about my son at all. I know he's being taken care of in a safe environment and he's been under the supervision of excellent teachers and staff.”
